The Opening Paragraph’s Mystery

The Opening Paragraph's Mystery There is an ingredient of uncertainty that preys as the Nemesis upon the catch--of the Opening Paragraph's mystery. About Us

Hello and welcome to my poetry page. My name is Diane Maietta, and I have been in love with the story-telling ability of poetic compositions ever since I was a child of three, reciting Robert Louis Stevenson's Garden of Verses while dreaming along with the serenade of rhythm and rhyme, up in the air so high. Poetry and designing with my words and photos are my releases, my sanctuary and my heart. Shakespeare, Frost, Keats, Byron, cummings, Shaw, Rossetti, Blake, Emerson, Gibran just to name a very few of many, many poets and writers, were essential in impelling my love of the beautifully authored arrangements of words. Diction, alliteration, annunciation, elocution mingled with imagination moving forth with a creative exploration into the essence of mystical investigations of the romantic daring challenge to the soul. That is how I feel when I write poetry--it is my meditation. I created this page because I needed to open my heart. I have been writing for decades; I have garnered international and national recognition--and while those are wonderful, and I cherish them beyond belief with deep gratitude, I know the reason I love poetry so much is not for any esteem I may acquire, but for the emotional evolution of it. Won't you come along with me? I promise romantic adventures of the cosmically exotic kind…to say the very least.
